Forbo Flooring Systems has refreshed its Flotex Planks range with a new comprehensive collection of sophisticated designs, allowing specifiers to create inspiring flooring schemes within educational settings.
The new range consists of 96 colourways across 11 designs, all of which have been split across two design families: Surfaces and Textures. Surfaces is inspired by natural materials, such as wood, concrete and marble; and Textures is influenced by graphic, geometric and textile patterns, and consists of designs such as Converge, where areas of pattern join at different angles creating unusual facets; and Frameweave, which is a subtle design inspired by rich woven fabric, combined with a graphical layout.
Although the designs are different across the collections, the colours are tonally similar, allowing them to be combined easily to either create unique flooring designs, help with zoning spaces or aid wayfinding around a building.
The plank format also provides advanced design capabilities, which offer a more contemporary aesthetic compared to traditional square tiles. For example, patterns such as herringbone and chevron can be fashioned with ease.
What’s more, Flotex offers the warmth, comfort and acoustic properties of a textile floor covering combined with outstanding durability and cleanability. It also has zero phthalates, ultra-low VOC emissions and is the only textile to hold the prestigious Allergy UK Seal of Approval™: the perfect solution for the education sector.
