Integral Blinds Are The Smart Alternative

BetweenGlassBlinds are leading manufacturers of double-glazed units, complete with fully integrated blinds, hermetically sealed between two panes of glass.

We know that schools and universities need the highest standard of products and we pride ourselves on providing top quality functionality, alongside a clean and stylish look.

Integral blinds are a smart alternative to traditional window furnishings.  They reduce glare and sunlight and regulate the temperature of a room.  In an education setting, they are highly versatile.  They can be integrated into classroom and office doors or windows. They can provide privacy for dance and fitness studios, be used to screen swimming pools or to shade and protect sports halls.

With safety as a priority, our system is totally cordless and is available in either manual or motorised operations.   The Manual blinds work via sliding magnets. These unobtrusive controls are located around the perimeter of the unit. The units contain a unique tracking system for the magnet meaning that the magnet cannot get lost or be removed from the rails, which is ideal for a busy environment.  Conversely, it is also possible to install the system where the magnetic blocks are detachable so only staff can operate the blinds.

The lift and tilt functions are simple-to-use, allowing staff to set the levels of vision and light quickly and easily.  Additionally, BGB units have additional optional dual-control functionality, allowing operation from either side of the glass.

BetweenGlassBlinds also offer battery powered and hard-wired motorised units, allowing operation at the touch of a button.   Battery powered blinds are controlled via a rechargeable pack, attached magnetically to the glass or frame. The hard-wired option can be activated by a simple wall switch or a smart automation system.  For the ultimate in usability, the blinds can be controlled individually or in groups up to 12.

The double-glazed panels are hermetically sealed and maintenance-free, reducing costs, as well as providing protection from moisture, odours and damage.

BGB is able to meet specialist requirements for any project, with a wide range of options. Fire Rated, Acoustic rated, Solar Shaded and Low E are just a few of the possibilities available.

Mark Nash, BetweenGlassBlinds Managing Director, said: “We are proud that our integral blind units are becoming such a popular choice in education builds and refurbishments. Their practicality, safety features, lack of needed maintenance and ease of use make them a great choice for the sector.
