Bishop Luffa School, a Church of England secondary school in Chichester, recently underwent 18 months of renovation work to remodel an old building.

To keep the buildings secure, Jacksons Fencing was chosen to install new perimeter fencing and gates, incorporating swipe-access readers to give the school greater control over entry and exit to the school site.

Jacksons installed approximately 140 metres of Bow Top fencing; polyester powder coated Black RAL 9005. In some areas, the fencing needed to be cranked to fit brick walls or ran in bays to suit the curve of the walls, providing the school with a consistent and attractive perimeter barrier. Bow Top fencing was chosen for the features incorporated into its design, such as its pale-through-rail construction and unique vandal-proof fence panel to post connectors which help make the fence more secure.

To provide separate access control for pedestrians and vehicles, 4 manual single leaf Bow Top gates and 3 double leaf Bow Top gates were installed, one of which was automated to restrict entry/access to the site.

In addition, Jacksons supplied a range of steel mesh fencing including EuroGuard® Flatform Medium mesh fencing, along with 1 single leaf 2m wide EuroGuard® Flatform Heavy Gate polyester powder coated Black RAL 9005.

EuroGuard® has a modern design which helps to create an open space which is ideally suited to the school environment, providing excellent durability and security whilst also carrying the Jacksons 25 year service life guarantee, ensuring longer life and lower lifetime cost.
